Pet Peace of Mind

Pet Peace of Mind®

Pet Peace of MindWhen someone is seriously ill, additional problems add to the already present anxiety. Being able to provide care for their beloved pets should not be one of these worries.

Pets are often a key companion and member of the family. Pet Peace of Mind® was formed with the goal of enabling Hospice patients to keep their pets with them as long as possible and to avoid the anxiety of taking care of their wellbeing during a difficult time.

Volunteers assist with dog walking, pet waste collection, transporting animals to the vet or groomer, and if necessary, placement of the pet in a new home. Often there is a financial need as well including basic veterinary care, food and other supplies.

Donations to this program help to cover the cost of need-based assistance in providing basic care for a pet.

You can help eliminate the worry of being able to care for a pet while the owner is undergoing hospice care by making a donation to one of our Hospice locations.
