In Southwest Virginia, individuals and families living with sickle cell disease rely on the Sickle Cell Collaborative for comprehensive, compassionate care. Led by an interdisciplinary team that includes hematology/oncology and other specialists, the Collaborative works to meet the complex medical and supportive needs of patients across our region.
Through community efforts such as the annual Sickle Cell Walk and other fundraising initiatives, the Collaborative is building sustainable support to expand supplemental care, cover support group meeting costs, and provide additional resources for patients and families.
